Donna's reply on "What is an artist?" post
I believe that an artist is a person that displays their creativity onto a canvas of some sort, in a more stereotypical saying; artists are people that like doodle or draw a lot. After going through a semester at Otis College of Art and Design, it gave me a different perspective on what an artist is. I learned that an artist is more than people that can draw well, an artist also have to know tons of different kind of theories and history behind the work that he/she is creating. Though I did learn all this from Otis, in my heart I still believe that anybody can be an artist, it does not matter if they don’t go to art school, as long as you have creativity in your mind, you’re always an artist.
