ryan's opinion on the question "what is an artist?"

i believe that an artist is someone who opens up peoples eyes. We walk around everyday looking at signs, billboards, different things of that nature. Being an artist you get the feeling that you have done something for the public and contributed to the knowledge of all the eyes that have looked at your work. It doesnt matter how you put your work out or where you choose to put it, it just matters that the message that you wanted to get across initially is acknowledges bye your viewer. Being an artist in my eyes is one of the greatest achievements, whether its with computers, paints, or pens and paper...being an artist expresses who everyone is.
