Week 7 - Where do you as an artist fit into the global competition? and how can you collaborate with other artists or designers globally?

As an artist in todays world, there are so many opportunities. Unlike past times, where art and artists were not nearly as accredited as they are today, there is so much technological advances that help the artist fit into the global competition and opportunities of the day. Being an artist in times of advancement and globalization is essential because without the technology of today, it would be impossible to click a button and send something half way or even all the way across the world. In the art world, this is convenient and perhaps beneficial for communicating and/or collaborating with other artists and designers that are located in these places. With the advancements in technology and of course art becoming more recognized, it is much easier to succeed as an artist in today's time as opposed to back 50 or more years ago, when we didn't have that recognition or advancements.
