How has the experience of attending Otis affected your art or perception?

Attending Otis, even though its only been one semester, has made me realize that art is not so one-sided and see the business side of the art world. Before i always viewed art as strictly fine art and only fine art. I didn't know there was a business side to it. Before it was all "let your creativity flowwwww, draw from the heart! blah blah blahhhh" and all that other artsy fartsy jazz, but attending otis has made me realize that there is more to art than all that other stuff. Art can be very business/career oriented. Here we take courses that gives us a basic knowledge that prepares us for any career path, that is intense. Never did it ever occur to me to pull all-nighters for art or even learn the basics, i thought i was about that. But Otis sure shut me up and kept me up. Here's to 3 1/2 more years, cheers :D
