i think as an individual artist it is our responsibility to contribute to the art community in a very thoughtful way. People have many ways of going about making statements, but it has proven in the past that art is one of the most effective ways known. I do not believe that my art makes any political or social statements, but that can always be left up for assumption because art is abstract in that sense. Perhaps my art does carry some message but it may just be subliminal even to myself.
